This book was designed to be difficult to read to insight a meditation on privacy and vulnerability. The exterior of the work is rough and foreboding, but once the harness is removed it is revealed that the contents are delicate. The text is made of excerpts from the artist's diary, copper leafing, sequins, cotton batting, silk velvet and metallic threads. This, against the unwelcoming exterior, poses questions about defense mechanisms and the sanctity of privacy.
